Borrowing, Explained Before You Sign
Stars For Youth exists to make short-term borrowing in Canada easier to understand. You describe what you need once, at no cost, and licensed lenders respond — with the facts in front of you instead of buried in fine print.
One request instead of a string of applications
Working on behalf of Canadian borrowers since 2012.
The idea behind Stars For Youth came out of a familiar problem. When money gets tight, people work through lender after lender, and the paperwork moves faster than the explanation. Our answer was simpler: one free request, sent to a network of licensed lenders, so the comparing happens in a single place.
That network now reaches all 13 provinces and territories, and every lender in it is regulated. Alongside the referrals we publish guides in everyday language about what payday loans cost and how repayment works. The money itself never comes from us; matching, candour, and education are what we provide.
The thinking behind the service
Knowledge Before Credit
We set out the full cost and the risks in advance, so nobody signs in a rush.
Licensed Lenders Only
Any lender in our network holds the licences provincial and federal rules require.
Borrowing Within Means
We point people toward amounts they can repay, and we say so when a loan is the wrong answer.
Nothing Hidden
Costs, terms, and our status as a referral service are stated up front rather than tucked away.
People Before Volume
Turning down a loan you cannot afford costs you nothing, and we count that as a good outcome.
Nationwide
Wherever you live in Canada, from Yukon to Prince Edward Island, the service works the same way.
